The NHS Wales Sore Throat Test and Treat service enables a patient* (5yrs of age and above) who has a sore throat to be assessed by a pharmacist. This may involve the pharmacist taking a swab of your throat if appropriate. This is an NHS service and saves the need for a GP appointment.
